Specialized Clinics for Pitching, Catching and Fundamentals From Club 612.
We hope your girls will join us for Club 612’s second season of clinics. We want to build on our successful 5 week skills program held last winter by expanding the clinics into three distinct sessions starting October 11th and running through December 13th.
Please Note:Week one, (9-25 through 10-2) Club 612 Families will have first priority for registration. After 10-2, Club 612 will make the clinics available to all girls who live in Minneapolis or who have a parent or guardian living in Minneapolis.
Coach Bio: Stan has coached fastpitch and served as a pitching instructor since 1978, working with players and teams age eight and up. He has coached four Minnesota High School State Champion pitchers and four Star Tribune Metro Players of the Year. Over 50 of his students have gone on to pitch at the college level. Three of his students earned full scholarships to Big Ten universities (Minnesota, Northwestern, and Penn State). He continues as a pitching instructor at clinics throughout the metropolitan area and in outstate areas.
Curriculum: The pitching series will be sequential so it is important that participants commit to the series and attend sessions in order to benefit fully from the clinics. In addition, it is strongly recommended that parents/guardians stay for the clinic to listen and learn. Having parents and guardians acquainted with the teaching methods and drills will greatly help your daughter become a better pitcher when practicing at home
Coach Bio: Nicole Caicedo is the starting catcher for the Macalester College Fastpitch team and an accomplished teacher and coach. She coached for the St. Croix Surge 14U team in 2015 and Club 612's 16U teams in Summer and Fall of 2016. In addition she leads catching and hitting instruction sessions for Hudson's Girls Fastpitch organization.
Curriculum: Club 612 Catching Clinics will be focused primarily on mechanics and footwork. The main topics covered will be: Blocking, Framing and Throw Downs. The cumulative sessions will build on one-another.
Curriculum: Core softball defensive fundamentals and 50% of the clinic time dedicated to hitting
Cost: $50.00 for 8/10U and $75.00 for 12U-18U
Bundle a pitching and fundamentals or a catching and fundamentals and you will get $25.00 off the total price. Club 612 will invoice individual players after they are registered.
